Hi, have been trying to create a standard report which I can save and then use the same report format again.

Hello Lawrence,

the reporting features in the default install of PowerGUI are somewhat limited: export to XML, export to CSV and export to HTML.

More reporting options can be found in the advanced reporting PowerPack here: http://powergui.org/entry.jspa?externalID=2423&categoryID=52

Can you tell us a little more about what you are trying to do?  It sounds like you want a report writing tool with templates, but I am not sure.

Hi Darin,

Sorry - request was not very informative.

I would like to create a standard report which I can run once a month on a PGUI AD filter.

As an example the filter would display all computers in a specified OU along with Computer Name Operating System and Operating System Service Pack.

I would then like to run the report displaying only the options from the filter.

As far as I can tell I can export my data to a specified format (e.g. html) and select the objects and the structure I would like the report to follow, what I would like to be able to do is save the report format so that I can select my data set and run the report on the data set.

cheers
Lawrence

OK - that makes sense. Unfortunately we don't have anything like a configurable report template in PowerGUI at this time. It sounds like we could possible do something like what you are proposing in a PowerPack - I will discuss it with the team.
